When looking to buy a used wakeboard, one must first consider their height and weight since staying afloat is important. Choosing the wrong board will make for a bad afternoon of wakeboarding.
There are also many different shapes of wakeboards to choose from. The shapes are designed for a purpose and will determine whether the board will be good for stunts or just plain wakeboarding behind a boat.

Larger boards are slower to respond to movements so they don’t make the best boards for performing tricks. Smaller boards however react very quickly to your body movements and you can perform some great stunts with them.
Once you have zeroed in the type of wakeboard you need to buy, the best place to do that is in an online. This gives you a much broader selection to choose from and also will let you spend only what your budget will allow.

I am 14 and weigh 95 lbs. I am just beginning to learn to wake board. I live near a wakeboard park in cresson Tx, so i wont be boarding behind a boat. they have all sorts of jumps and trick jumps apparatus. while i am just a beginner i hope to do some othe cool tricks in the future. What kind of board do you recommend for someone in my situation?
If you don’t have a lot of money to spend, you can get a cheaper board like a Kwik Tech. Hyperlites and Liquid force boards tend to be more expensive.
Of course if money is no object, then I would go for a Hyperlite board.
